Extreme pain on top of both feet

Post a new topicby hurtstowalk on Thu Sep 24, 2009 7:43 am

First my left foot started to swell on top, went to Dr., they thought it was Gout. Gave me an inflammatory and it seemed to help the swelling, although I still have the pain. Then I ran my right foot into a hedge trimmer that was on the ground over a month ago. Now the top of my right foot hurts so bad I can hardly stand it at times. There is no bruise, welling and it didn't break the skin. The pain spreads up my ankles into my calves. When I walk, it feels like there is not enough skin to bend my foot and I walk flat footed vs heel to toe. When I stay off of it for a certain length of time and then get up to walk, the pain is excruciating. I actually whence out loud with pain, which is embarrassing at times. Shoes or no shoes...there is no comfort. There is a constant throb and stabbing pains.

I would appreciate any information about this. The doctors apparently are stumped and keep prescribing an inflammatory.
