Osteoarthritis, hallus rigidus and PAIN!

Post a new topicby rlotz on Sun May 31, 2009 7:21 pm

I am a 54 year old female with fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis. Now I am developing serious problems with my foot. My RA doctor suggested it is the hallux rigidus, ordered an x-ray and is now sending me to a podiatrist but that appt. is not for another 4 weeks. My foot, toe (which almost doesn't move now) and ankle constantly hurt. Wearing shoes is a disaster. So, what do I have to look forward to here? With my med history, I am already on anti-inflammatory and pain meds, which are not helping at all. Any advice?
