Foot Pain

okay this is what happened 4 days ago i was going outside to take the trash out it was raining and our deck where we rent at was slick and i fell. since then my foot on my left side has swelled a little not alot and no brusing but there is alot of pain any time i step down or walk on it longer than more than 5 minutes its on the left side of the flat area of the foot and in the middle from the two little toes to the ankle. i dont know if o broke it or if its just brusied but it hurts and when most ppl say it hurts they mean a little when i say it hurts i have a high toeralance to pain. any idead? and no i havent gone to the DR yet cause well i hate them to be honest and no type of pain killers are helping nor is soaking or elevation... only thing i havent tryed is splinting it.
