The base of big toe hurts when I move it and esp. when walking. what could it be?
I have been stupid and only recently been to see GP about it after 2 years, but the base of my big toe (underneath) really hurts when i walk, bend it, twist it slightly. The pain is worse now than it has ever been. XRays came back normal and GP seems lost. Does anyone have any ideas? I have an appointment with a podiatrist but its not for 5 weeks. I never wear heels and never have done and basically live in trainers. I'm not over weight and i dont do any strenuous exercise. I have tried ibruprofen both orally and topical - still hurts :O(

Di you find out what was causing this? sounds similar to my problem. I can not even walk on my toe, I am waiting to see if anyone replys to my message. Hope we get some answers and solutions to our problems.
