PAIN ON OUTSIDE OF LEFT FOOTThis happened to me a little bit after I had my son, for about a month. It's been 9 years and here lately the outside/bottom of my left foot kills, moreso if I've worn shoes, no matter what shoes as soon as I take them off it hurts badly to walk on my foot. I've had small problems here and there, but none that lasted over a period of time and nothing a foot soak/heat/ice wouldn't help. Now it's out of nowhere hurting again. I haven't re-injured it or anything. Years ago I was attacked by a dog and he bit into that side of the foot up by my small toe, and I've broken toes on that foot before. I had a stress fracture on that top bone on the foot, but until now, nothing has bothered me in 9 years. Nothing drastic has changed in my life or anything. Can anyone enlighten me what possibly this could be? not the ball or the heal or the arch, it's on the very edge of my foot?? Please help.
Re: PAIN ON OUTSIDE OF LEFT FOOTIt sounds like you need deep muscle massage of the foot. You can do this yourself but you have to tolerate a good degree of discomfort because you will have to dig deep. Use a lotion or massaging oil. Massage the WHOLE foot. Include the ends of your toes, the length of the toes, balls of your foot, arch, heal and sides of the foot. Finish or start with an electric vibrator if you have one. Do this a two or three times a day and daily until the pain resolves.
