Pain on top of foot.

Post a new topicby jerzy123 on Sat Nov 08, 2008 5:42 pm

I am a Chef of 54 years old, I stand and work on my feet for 8 to 10 hours a day, after a while I get a severe pain on the top of my foot ( the top arch). When I stand on my toes this releaves the pain somewhat. Please can someone help.
Thanks
Jerzy.

I too have this pain on the top of my foot. There is no swelling or redness and only occurs on my left foot. I recently started working full time after many years of part-time work. I am up and down all day working with children. I saw my Dr.and he thought I might have strained a muscle and gave me pain meds. They did nothing. The pain lasted for about 2 weeks, then stopped. It then returned about a week later and lasted about 5 dyas.Sometimes the pain so intense I wanted to cry. It's a burning and cramping feeling. I also tried using icy-hot and wraps and nothing seems to help. I am currently uninsured, so any advice would be much appreciated!
