could it be gout?I have attacks about three times a year on my left big toe. pain is heightned sheet must not touch toe. a number of years I have had a grey colored bump on toe under skin. pain usually has to do a. I once had it looked at by a foot doctor. He said it's nothing. Back n I didn't have any pain involved. I am wondering if it might be pseudo gout as I have a count of 10 regards to hyperparathyroidism. (too much calcium in blood) I am a complete vegetarian only "snitch occasionally. thank lita
Re: could it be gout?You may very well have gout or pseudogout. Severe pain in the great toe is a classic symptom. You should go to another podiatrist and explain your symptoms so you can get a proper diagnosis. If it is gout, there are medications to help ease the pain associated with gout as well as prevent future attacks. Therefore, make sure you see a podiatrist who will test you for gout.
