gout cure

Post a new topicby Guest on Wed Mar 31, 2004 10:15 pm

My gout was cured nine months ago when my sleep apnea was cured! Up till now, the connection between these two conditions was unrecognized. Some medical literature indicates that the connection might result from the lack of breathing causing a build-up of carbon dioxide in the blood, which increases the blood's level of carbonic acid. The body's response to maintain its blood acidity is to cause a precipitation of uric acid crystals, which when deposited into a joint cause gout. One rheumatologist told me that he found it entirely conceivable that acidosis can affect uric acid pools and cause a gout attack. Take this advice from a former frequent gout attack sufferer--if you have gout, get checked for sleep apnea!
