gout?

Post a new topicby Guest on Mon May 13, 2002 11:11 am

I am a 48 year old women. I have had trouble with my toes for 20yrs. The big toe and other toes become inflamed and swollen with fluid. they become so red and swollen that I think there going to burst. They are painful to the touch.
It sometimes affects the heal and sides of the foot near the big toe also. If you can help me in anyway I would be very thankful. Barbara

You may have gout, another type of arthritis or a problem with circulation in your legs and feet. Therefore you need to see a podiatrist in order to be thoroughly examined and properly diagnosed. Have a nice day and please write back if you have any further questions.
