Swelling, pain

Post a new topicby Guest on Sun Jun 03, 2001 12:12 pm

Recently I had gout in my big toe. I lasted over a month. Now, about a month later my foot is still very stiff. I have a hard time bending it, walking, I can not bend my big toe much at all. Today it is becoming painful to walk again since foot is so stiff. I noticed I am now walking on outside of foot all time is making part hurt too. Is still side effects of gout or could it be something else? I also have Crohn's am a great canidate Osteoarthritis from all meds. Actaully made difference my foot last time a dose of Remicade Crohn's. Any suggestions/help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Gout does not last this long. You may have arthritis in your foot or possiblty another condition. Therefore, you need to see a podiatrist so you can be thoroughly examined and properly diagnosed. Have a nice day and please write back if you have any further questions.
