foot syndrome

Post a new topicby Guest on Sun Sep 23, 2001 11:01 am

My physician commented one day that I had a foot syndrome--I forget what he called it--which involves high instep, high arch and hammer toes (and sometimes some mental problem--fortunately not in my case! My mother had feet like this and my son also has them. What is this syndrome called?

The term he probably used was a pes cavus foot which means a foot with a high arch. Sometimes, this high arch foot can be caused by neurological conditions such as charcot-marie-tooth disease. Neurological disorders does not necessary mean mental problems however so do not be too concerned.
