Hammertoes and Bunion

Post a new topicby Guest on Sun Jun 23, 2002 7:59 am

My foot Surgen says I need surgery for both conditions and that pins will be used in the Hammer Toe part of the surgery. I'm in constant pain, sometimes very severe. Iwill be laid up for quite some time. How painfull is this surgery? I'm very scared. Can you get both feet done at the same time? if you can,how do you handle doing normal functions?----Thank You

You really should not have both feet done at the same time. You will be given pain medicine as well so the pain should never get very bad. The first 24-48 hours wil be the most painful however but it will get better every day afterwards. Have a nice day and please write back if you have any further questions.
