hammertoes; claw toesI had back surgery 8 years ago and now have permanent nerve damage in both legs with numbness and tingliness. Since surgery my toes on my left foot have started to curl up. I just thought it was corns/calluses. My doc recently told me I may have claw toes or possibly claw foot. Could this be caused by the nerve damage in my legs? I am seeking medical attention in the near future to have this diagnosed but I just came upon this web site and thought I would put this question out to you.
Thank you.
Re: hammertoes; claw toesIf the nerve damage is severe enough that it is causing muscles in the feet to atrophy, then muscle imbalances can occur which can lead to hammertoes.
