Last month, i underwent a second operation where bone taken from my hip placed where it never healed. y did remove plate pins. My question is my toes on my left foot seem very rigid, unlike ones on my right foot. My doctor tells me to stretch m out. painful to walk because y dont react normally. inmation can give me on ? The muscles, tendons and nerves that control your toes course around the calcaneus. Therefore, once you fractured the calcaneus, the surrounding muscles and tendons were traumatized as well. You do need to stretch your toes. It is painful at first but gets easier everyday. You may want to ask for physical therapy to help you get the toes more mobile. If this does not help, an MRI will show any damage to the nerves in the foot that may be causing a problem. Good luck and if you have any further questions, please write back.
