second toes excessively long

Post a new topicby Guest on Sun Dec 02, 2001 12:35 pm

I am 37, female, all my life my toes have been more like fingers. They are very long and to me very ugly. I cannot wera opentoed shoes. Never have. I hide them in the sand if we are at the beach etc. I love fashion and hate the summer months when sandals are in style. I want to have surgery to shorten these toes. Is this considered cosmetic? I am willing to do it. In the summer months I wear closed toe shoes and my feet burn and sweat. I would give anything to wear sandals. I just cant expose my long toes to the world. There has been pain with my problem. please respond

If you have actual pain, it may not be considered cosmetic surgery but it is a tough call. You should know that shotening your toes will cause you to have scars on your feet when the surgery is finished. Have a nice day and please write back if you have any further questions.
