Extra bone on the outside of my foot

Has anyone been diagnosed with an extra bone on the outside of their foot. I was told I have an extra
one. It is causing a lot of pain on the side of my foot. I have searched several sites and can't find any info on this. If anyone has any info I would like to know what treatments there are and if any works.
Beginning to wonder if I am weird because I can't find anything on this
