heel pain & arch pain

Post a new topicby Guest on Sun Jun 17, 2001 7:37 pm

Ive been treated for Plantar Fascitis. Wrappings, cortizone, etc. Next is orthotics

Over the past week, I am now experiencing pain in my arch area right up to the side of my ankle bone. It throbs while at rest and is is very painful to walk, Im actually limping. Also, If I bend over and stretch my hamstring muscle I can feel it right down into my foot. Never experienced that or felt that one before. Advil gives some relief, not much.

What do you think is happening here?. Is this also plantar fascitis, or perhaps a new ailment. I have an appointment this week to see my podiatrist In the meantime, any information would be greatly appreciated.

A tendon that can be strained is the posterior tibial tendon. When one part of your foot hurts, you tend to walk differently which can cause strain in other areas. Therefore, have your podiatrist check this tendon. Hopefully, once the fasciitis resolves, the rest of the pain will resolve as well.
