heel pain ????

Post a new topicby Guest on Tue Apr 30, 2002 12:55 pm

Dear Sir/Madan

A few weeks back I was walking down my hallway stairs. I did not fall or hit anything on the way down but about three quarters of the way down I suddenly got a sharp pain in the back of my foot. It felt as if someone stuck a needle in me. Since then I started to walk with a limp and after a few days the side of my foot felt like it was numb. The pain isn't as bad even thouhg it is still there, but I still
limp a little especially after I sit for a while. Also I get little throbbings when I am sitting still and my leg is up on the couch I can feel the pain to the knee. Like someone sticking needles in me. sharp pains
Can you please tell me what can cause this. I would appreciate any feed back.
Thank You
Barbara

You probably pulled or strained your achilles tendon/muscle complex. It will tighten up when you are sitting or lying inbed which leads to pain. You should be daignosed properly by a podiatrist so you cann recive the proper treatment for your condition.
