heel pain

Post a new topicby Guest on Thu Jun 14, 2001 5:38 pm

Please help me I am 45 and unable to walk more that 2 blocks total every day. I have had plantiar fascitis for 10 years. I have had several cortizone injections, tons of antiinflamatory medicine and finally had one of the plantiar fascia cut to relieve pain. I have had special orthotics for 3 years. Nothing works. My hip and knees hurt now. I have also tried stretching daily the achilles tendon. Also ointments and wrapping my feet nightly. I have also tried the boots at night for months. Is there anything else I can do. I have a desk job and don't work out anymore. Just basic household jobs. I feel like an invalid. Please help me.

Plantar fasciitis typically only hurts when you get out of bed in the morning and when you have been sitting for long periods. It normally does not limit your walking once you have started. Therefore, you may want to get a second opinion to look for another reason for your pain.
