heel pain

Post a new topicby Guest on Tue Jun 19, 2001 10:42 pm

I am 46, and both my heels hurt. I do not wake up with pain in my heels, but as the day progresses, and if I have been on my feet, I get very painful heels. It seems like I have a limited quota for being on my feet, and by the evening I am almost crippled. If I go for a brisk walk first thing in the morning, I will get the pain sooner. The only thing that seems to alleviate this pain is advil, however, I do not want to be dependent on painkillers.
I would greatly appreciate advice on this matter.

You may have tarsal tunnel syndrome or posterior tibial tendon dysfunction. Therefore, you need to see a podiatrist so you can be properly diagnosed and treated.
