Heel Pain

Post a new topicby Guest on Thu Apr 25, 2002 9:31 am

My husband plays a lot of golf. Two days ago he complained of a mild pain in his heel. Yesterday he could barely walk on it. If he is barefoot or wearing sandals with no back he doesn't feel any pain. There is no pain when touching or pushing on the heel or surrounding area. He says the pain very internal. What could this injury be and how should it be treated?

Thanks.

He probably has plantar fasciitis, achilles tendinitis, or a bursitis. All are not very serious but he should see a podiatrist so he can be properly diagnosed and receive treatment to relieve his pain.
