heel pain

Post a new topicby Guest on Sat Apr 27, 2002 1:40 pm

Hopefully I can pin point the area of pain, after looking at the side view of the muscles and tendons it looks like the area of the Peroneus Longos Tendon, the pain is not on the heel bone itself but the tendon in front of it. It is on both feet on the outside. I am a custodian and work on cement floors, I keep trading shoes but the pain is unbelievable. I don't like to take any over the counter pain pills and am looking for something more natural, like the herb yucca (natural procurer of cortizone) Anyway can you help? Also to touch the area send me through the roof, Is there an area above the tendon to release with massage?

I cannot offer advice about herbal medicines. However, you may have a structural abnormality in your foot that could be fixed with orthotics instead of pain pills. Therefore, you should see a podiatrist for an actual diagnosis. I agree that pain pills are not a solution because they only mask the pain. Therefore, finding out the cause of your pain is the most important factor.
