HEEL PAIN

Post a new topicby Guest on Mon May 27, 2002 8:49 pm

I AM A 64 YR OLD WOMAN, IN GOOD HEALTH.

I HAVE SUDDENLY DEVELOPED HEEL PAIN (BOTH FEET). COULD THIS BE CAUSED BY THE FOLLOWING:

I WAS IN FLORIDA FOR 4 MONTHS, AND WALKED (W/O SHOES) ON THE BEACH DAILY

AND, SINCE I HAVE WHITE RUGS I FLORIDA I DID NOT WEAR SHOES INSIDE THE HOUSE....EITHER BARE FEET OR FLIP-FLOP SLIPPERS.

I WAS FITTED FOR ORTHODICS (& ALWAYS WEAR THEM WHEN I WEAR SHOES) ONE YR AGO, FOLLOWING AN ARTHOSCOPY.

The orthotics should be helping. Also, you need to perform stretching exrecises at least twice a day for your feet. You should ask your doctor how to do these specifically. There are also many other treatments to help decrease heal pain so if you are still having pain, you should return to your doctor to discuss these.
