heel pain

Post a new topicby Guest on Fri May 31, 2002 9:00 pm

I have seen a podiatrist and an x-ray was taken that was negative. I was told to get gel pads and take asprin type medications to take down the swelling. The pain in my left heel is very intense it is in the center on the heel towards the rear. The pain gets worse when my foot is hanging,or when I ice it. It is real bad in the morning and after a half hour of light walking I have to limp badly..?????????

You most likely have a nevre entrapment similar to tarsal tunnel syndrome. However, you could have many other conditions such as arthritis or a stress frcature. Therefore, you should either see this doctor again and explain that his treatment is not helping or seek a second opinion.
