Heel pain

Post a new topicby probertson1 on Mon Nov 30, 2009 1:16 pm

Lately I have been experiencing an odd pain in my heels. When I push the meat of the heel in a sideways direction, a sharp shotting pain like electrical prics shoots through for a guick second. This has never happened before, and is as of the last 3 weeks or so. I have not had any injury I can think of. My left heel is much more pronounced in this pain that the right, although the right has it to some degree as well. I first noticed it when getting into bed, and laying my feet on the bed, toes up, and the heel pressing on the bed and a shot of pain. Then if I turn the toes to the right and press down on the heel, same pain. It seems to go away after that for that period of time, but happens again next time. Last few days I have been able to grab my heel and create a similar sensation. Does anyone have any idea what might be going on. Is this a "Bruised" heel? Something else? thanks to all for any info you can share. Phil
