Heel Spur Syndrome

Post a new topicby Guest on Thu May 09, 2002 12:42 pm

I've had injections in both heels twice and have worn orthotics for 8 months but I still have severe heel pain and compensatory foot pain. My doctor has said I should not stretch, and that he would recommend surgery if the other treatments were not successful. I am concerned that the surgery might also fail to relieve the pain and wonder if it could cause any negative results.

Surgery is typically very successful. However, all surgeries carry some risks which typically include infection, excessive scarring, and nevre pain. Each of these is rare but you should no they are possible. Have a nice day and please write back if you have any further questions.
