Pain on either side of both heelsSince puberty I have had mild pain to either side of both heels, usually noticeable if I've been standing for some time, but not usually after rest. The sides of both heels are painful on compression, otherwise exhibit a dull ache if I've been standing for a while. I am 40 - so the mild discomfort is perfectly tolerable, but I'd be grateful to know (i) what the condition might be; (ii) if orthotics would help. It might help to know that as a child I was prescribed orthotics for mildly 'in-turned' feet, my shoes being adapted to encourage 'out-turning'. Many thanks, Marcus
Re: Pain on either side of both heelsIt sounds like orthotics might help, consider the possibility of heel spurs
Re: Pain on either side of both heelsHave you seen a podiatrist lately? You need a foot Xray done to determine what you have. Sounds like heel spurs to me. Have them. See your doctor soon.
