Re: shock wave therapy(ossatron) or topaz-radiofrqency microtenocindy, let me go back through my notes and stuff and put a narrative together and post it; look for it over the weekend or monday. i was very satisfied by the way with the ossatron and am back to light running in the woods which is soft on the feet for 30 to 45 minutes 2 or 3 times a week, which is a huge improvement for me since i was shut down from running or tennis from about may 07 to march 08. mike in gainesville,ga.

Re: shock wave therapy(ossatron) or topaz-radiofrqency microtenoMike, I'm interested in learning about this procedure. I don't know for sure PF is what I have, but it does sound like it. I became aware of it just one week ago while sitting at my desk at work. At that time the pain seemed to be coming from under my left ankle. I noticed it was a little sore after uncrossing my ankles. I didn't think too much about it because it wasn't that bad. But midway through the next day, it was awful. I was walking with a painful limp, and could hardly walk at all. I have no medical coverage, so I walked to a nearby urgent care center. That didn't accomplish much, but I got a slip for x-rays and an Rx for 800 mg Motrin. The Motrin hasn't done much if anything, I'm still struggling to walk in to work everyday despite taking the Motrin 3x/day. And I still don't know the X-ray results. But the pain seems to have shifted to more predominantly from my heel. It's much worse in the mornings and everytime I have to get up from my desk to walk to the printer. The long walk to and from the parking lot is actually easier to deal with, though still difficult. I've been living in fear of what it could possibly be, and wondering if this is going to be a permanent disability, since it doesn't seem to be getting better. It's hard to imagine how in just one day a little pain could pop up out of no where and make my daily life absolutely miserable.
Re: shock wave therapy(ossatron) or topaz-radiofrqency microtenocoder- you really need to consult a sports orthpedist or podiatrist; you are a long way from shock wave therapy because there are multiple treatments before that such as icing and stretching, steriod injections, and other strategies. you need to get an accurate diagnosis first.
you can learn a lot about pf by googling it which will tap you into many resources. good luck. mike from gainesville.
