Ingrown Toenails

I’m 14 years old and I had an infected ingrown toenail that was swollen and sore. I went to the podiatrist to get that part of the nail taken out. He did not proscribe any antibiotics and said I will feel less discomfort after the surgery then when I did before the surgery. He said I would be back on my feet in a day and I didn’t have to wear a bandaid on it or anything. The only thing he said not to do was swim in chlorine.
