Can a surgeon correct an ingrown toenail? Do y have expertise as much as a podiatrist I have an inflammed nail; wondered if outgrow medication would be worth a try. It hurts quite a bit lately. Any suggestions? Susie

If the toe is hurting you, you should see a podiatrist to have it taken care of as soon as possible so it does not get infected. I am sure a surgeon could perform the procedure but it is not really what they do on a daily basis. I would not suggest over-the-counter medicines. Good luck and please write back if you have any further questions.
