My son is suffering from an ingrown toe nail as a result he developed an infection. He treated antibiotics. However skin at side of his toe is still swollen. How can I get swelling down so toe can return to normal size.?

A portion of the nail probably has to be removed. The nail that went into the skin is still there so it needs to be removed. This is why there is stil swelling. Therefore, take him to a podiatrist so the infection does not reoccur. Have a nive day and please write back if you have any further questions.
