Post a new topicby Guest on Sun Jun 03, 2001 12:12 pm

I have had a problem ingrown toe nails as long as I can remember. I think y date back to when I about 9 years old. My doctor said I would need corrective surgery last year. Despite my efts to get it done it neglected because of my busy schedule. Once again I now have an ingrown toenail. one seems to be worse than ors though. I went to podiatrist I still did not see any results as usual. So I went back once again... Still no results it has been about 2 weeks. I have been soaking my toe every day water vinegar as directed. I am a college student who walks a lot depends on walking everyday transportation. So I am waiting until summer to get corrective surgery. can I do to better help my toe? I don't feel like I should go back again since first two times did not work. My toe hurts pretty bad still has a nice big bump on side, my foot doctor in a I have been to twice now has cut back my nail twice... should I do? Seek anor individual? Wait situation out? Is re any way I can help relieve discomt more than I am already doing? Thanks r help!

You need to either go back to the podiatrist or seek another opinion from another podiatrist. If it is still painful, it still may be infected so you cannot wait until the summer to have it looked at again. Have a nice day and please write back if you have any further questions.
