I had some skin on the left side of my big toe on my left foot that I pulled on and it ripped along the side of my toenail. Now my toe is really red and swollen, and there is 'meat' hanging out on the side of my nail. Is this an ingrown toenail? Or just damage from tearing the skin? HELP!

It is an infected ingrown nail. You need to see a podiatrist as soon as possible to have the area treated properly and before the infection gets too serious.
