surgery for ingrown toenails

Post a new topicby Guest on Wed Jul 10, 2002 10:16 pm

My daughter is a ballet dancer and is considering the nail narrowing surgery for recurring ingrown toenail. What is the realistic recovery period for this surgery? Will she be able to return to dancing in a week as her podiatrist said. How about dancing on pointe?

She should be able to return to dancing within a week but the area will be sensitive for 2-3 weeks so dancing on pointe may be delayed slightly. Have a nice day and please write back if you have any further questions.
