Toe after surgery...

Post a new topicby evildanny2010 on Sun Jan 24, 2010 9:52 pm

I had part of my toenial removed on my left foot and i noticed that it became black after I removed the dressing from it. Is this normal? The only thing that i can think of is that the solution the doctor put on it went onto the skin.

Another thing is that the part of my toe under my nail is swoolen.

Any advice? should i make an appointment to see my podiatrist again?

Hi,

You should definitley see your podiatrist again. It could be from the dressing (like silver dressings which leak silver and cause discolouration) or it could be dried blood or something more sinister. Definitely go and get it checked.
