Too scared to see doctor!

Post a new topicby Guest on Wed Dec 10, 2003 2:01 am

Hi, I have a terrible infection in my right toe from an ingrown toenail and I know I can have it remedied by visiting the doctor, but I am totally petrified when I think of what they have to do to it. I'm so scared of the pain it'll cause...I want to know how do they deaden it for operation? Shots? And where do they apply the shot? Directly into the area or next to it? I am very afraid but I know it has to be done as the infection is growing worse. I have been battling this for over a month now and nothing is working! Also, I have celluitis in my foot, can this be causing the infection to never heal? Thanks!
