ON MY LAST NERVE!!I was a very athletic kid. I played basketball, football, baseball, I wrestled, skate boarded, snowboarded, surfed, etc. And then out of the blue I started feeling numbness between my toes on my left foot. I didn’t really think much of it, I just thought it would take care of itself and go away. Well then a few years went by and I started noticing that my balance and coordination were not what they used to be. I became clumsy and would trip over cracks in the side walk or stumble just walk...Read the full article
Re: ON MY LAST NERVE!!1st let me say I feel you pain and can relate to may of the things you wrote about(pretty much haveing to retrain your ablity to walk normal,as to not embarrass ones self in a public setting...tripping and what not...a side note;I used to be in ballet, cheerleading, and basketball, all in which I was very cordinated but now can't make it throughout the day with out tripping over my own two feet...also I had the surgery and just like you my pain never went away! Shot after shot all over again followed by a MRI which found not only did it grow back but it grew back larger and with more pain!) For me, it was suggested that I have a second surgery in attempt to ACUALLY remove it this time(seeing that it was not cut out properly the first time!) Anyway, I had set up the surgery and about a month before my insurance got dropped makeing it impossable for mr to receieve the NEEDED surgery! It has been almost a year now and I have been forceing myself to try to ignore the problem(seeing as though I can do nothing about it!) however, recently(past2weeks or so) it has been getting much worse and in the last 3days nearly unbearable! My doc said to go to the hospital but that will cost an arm and a leg(plus recently layer off single mom here...hello money does not grow on trees!) I wish I could say it gets better but in my case things just seem to feel like they have gone from bad to worse! If I could offer any advice to you it would be this however small it may seem...1st ask your doc if they think a MRI may be helpful in determing where to go from here...and second,if a second surgery is suggested take it! The problem will only get worse overtime this I can all most be certain! Expecally if yours has effected your life like mine! (currently looking at my new and improved Morton neuroma which is now clearly noticeable even to an untrained eye!(ex. Mommy u got bite by a big buggy on your piggy huh! You need a batman bandaid to make it better, I get for you.....Brady my 3 yr) old!) Wouldnt be nice tobelieve again that a small piece of fabric could make it all better! I wish it could...truely!!! I wish I had a more up beat story to tell ya with great words of wisdom but that's just nt how my cards have been dealt! I truely hope you have better luck than me and hope that maybe just knowing that there is some one else out there that can relate A little maygiveyou a little piece of mind! Best of luck and let m know if you have any tips!
