I put up with the pain for quite a while, but after going to the dr’s numerous times, was none the wiser. I had various tests ie for arthritis, I had xrays, and it was over 10 years before it was diagnosed. I had it removed from my right foot 2 years ago. I was pain free for about 6 months, then gradually the pain started re-occurring. A scan revealed it hadn’t grown back, but it was scar tissue causing the pain.
