My pain started off 8 years ago as intermittent foot pain. I thought I had a stress fracture! Doctors were litle help no one suggested neuroma I actually self diagnosed using the internet and demanded a referal to an ortho surgeon By this time I couldnt walk at anytime without severe pain. Thought I was going to go mad! The surgeon didnt order tests he was satisfied that only option was surgery. I was desperate and agreed.

Thank you for sharing your story. It is one of the few positive stories on MN I have found in my first time on this site. I was recently diagnosed with MN, received the shot, and it wore off....now I am contemplating surgery. However, I am hesitent after reading all of the negative-results of the surgery.
