8 days after operation for mortons neuromaThis is a very interesting forum and I must admit I had never heard of this condition so its good to share our experiences. An hour after my op my right foot started to bleed profusley, i wasn't told not to move it or to keep it up, in fact i wasn't given any aftercare advice at all and actually learned most of what to do from this forum. i was given a change of bandages and sent home. I laugh when I read about people running after two days, this can't be surely. I am on day 8 and I am sore where the stitches are and also have electric shocks going through the bottom of my foot, I have to keep my foot flat on the floor or elevated to get any relief I must have some support.I find if I sleep with my nice blue shoe on it does help. I would say for anyone having this would be to keep their foot elevated as much as possible for the first week, because everytime I walked it started to bleed.Don't walk unless you have to go to the toilet. My foot is still slightly swollen and bruised but not too bad now as it was.I hope it works but i feel like a bit of a prisoner because I was not given crutches or any walking aid apart from the blue shoe. I tried to walk to a neighbours on day 5 and I was in tears when i got home and spent the next day in bed in terrible pain. So i think a great deal of patience is needed to get over this, does anyone know when normality comes back ?
