2 neuroma's but only 1 removedI had my first surgery for Morton's Nueroma on my left foot in May 2004. The pain came back and I went in and they said I had stump neuroma. I tried the alcohol injections, 7 of them, but this did not help. My podiatrist told me I should consider another surgery, this time through the bottom of my foot. I had decided to this finally as the pain was getting worse but my podiatrist went on a sabatical to Germany so I was referred to an orthopedic surgeon When I went to see him I told him that the podiatrist told me I should get an MRI first to make sure the neuroma was pinpointed. When I saw the surgeon after the MRI he said there were 2 neuroma's, 1 bigger and 1 smaller one. I had surgery on Jan. 9th, 2009. I have had pain now since the surgery but thought it was just from scar tissue. Finally it got really bad so I requested my MRI report and my surgery report. Clearly the MRI shows 2 neuroma's and clearly the surgery report shows he only removed 1 and left the other one in.
Now I dont know what to do and need advice. Thank you.
