4 weeks post-op MN - Agony of Da Feet

Post a new topicby DeltaLady on Sat Nov 08, 2008 7:34 pm

Okay - so says my podiatrist my foot is healing nicely but I'm still in pain, not only in the foot but behind the back of my upper thigh. I'm despondent over the fact that I have to take short term disabilty from my job (which I love) and may be let go due to the fact that I can't get the pain under control. I lived with pain 30 plus days prior to the surgery and now am still living in pain..I am having massage and going to a physical therapist for my leg - my primary care doc thinks it may be from walking funny for so long prior to the surgery. Anyone else out there having my experience? I don't want others to not have the surgery due to this post -- everyone heals differently -- but I never thought it would impact my life so drastically. Could use some words of encouragement! Thanks.
