Post a new topicby blairebich on Fri Mar 28, 2008 3:27 pm

I broke my toe about a year ago and I was wondering if this could have been caused becuase I did not get the toe reset. Could someone let me know if they have heard of that or not. Thanks.

I don't really know but I have read that MN's can be caused by some kind of foot trauma so I guess it's possible. I think mine was caused by a real bad bunion that I'd had for many years. So, hope this may help a little! Good luck

I had a trauma to my foot last fall. Before that, absolutely no problems. I was at a wedding dance and someone (a rather large male) jumped up and came down full force on my outer forefoot. It cause swelling and bruising. The swelling went down after a couple of days but left a small lump on the top of my foot that did not go away for about 6 weeks.

I had no further problems until about 10 weeks after that. I was simply strolling along when it felt like something "popped" in my foot. The same type of bruising was present for several days after that. When I went to the pod, he took top & side xrays but saw no sign of a crack or break anywhere. It was at that visit when he diagnosed MN. He told me a trauma can cause it, or it may have been forming and the trauma speeded up the progress - there was no way to tell which was true.
