Doctor's view appreciated

Post a new topicby Guest on Sun Jun 03, 2001 12:12 pm

Dear Doc, I've had a Morton's Neuroma two years, seen a podiatrist one year. I tried two sets of orthotics bee seeing doctor, y only made things worse. I've gotten three cortisone injections have reduced pain during neuroma flups enough to where I can usually sleep through night. I can now work a 15 hs per week (on my feet as a hyman) two weeks in a row, n I have at least a week of neuroma pain during I can't work. I take Celebrex 3-5 days in a row during flups, Aleve twice a day most days. I am willing to put up more pain if I can expect it to get better in near future (1 year?), it's already been a long time. My doctor calls surgery a last resort, not an answer, wants me to keep going way I'm going rest, icing religiously anti-inflammatories. my quality of life is severely restricted--all I do is work when I can, walk maybe a few hundred yards a day. I'd appreciate r professional opinion. Thank .
