New here. Need some help.

Hello,
I am glad to find a site where I can talk to people about this problem. I am a wedding coordinator and on my feet some days for up to 14 hours. I have had this "electrical" pain in my toes for quite some time. It is almost unbearable by the end of the day if I have to wear shoes other than flats. I only put on higher heeled shoes for an hour or so, just to get past the ceremonies. I went to a podiatrist and he diagnosed it as Morton's Neuroma only mine is between the 2nd and 3rd toe. I've had 2 shots that did nothing. I see the doctor again in 2 weeks for further discussion and the next step.
I see that many of you have had or are going to have the more invasive surgery to correct it. Has anyone had success with the less invasive surgery that is done on the top part of the foot?

Surgery involves removing the whole neuroma. After the sugery you will be left with permanent numbness on the inner toes. The incision should always be made from the top of the foot otherwise you could end up with a lot of scar tissue on the bottom of your feet which can be painful and a nuisance.

I am new as well, but I have a question for you. You say yours is between the 2nd & 3rd toes. Did your toes do the Mr Spock be well and prosper thing? (separate into like a V) Mine have done that, and my dr is still trying to figure out what is wrong with me.
