numb second toe??

HI all,
I am finally concerned enough to research this very strange condition I seemed to develope lately.
I have never heard of Mortons before, but it sounds like it may be my problem. My toe hurt for awhile and is now numb. Feels weird. I have a bunion on the other foot and I am afraid I am getting another one on teh left foot. I am not a big fan of the idea of surgery. Thanks in advance for any help!
