Pain Relief

Post a new topicby neleh466 on Wed May 21, 2008 5:33 pm

Please help....

I am so desperate to get some pain relief for my foot.

It took me 10 months to January this year to get this diagnosed and had what I thought was succesful dose of steriod injections. It really did help.

In the last week the pain has returned with a vengance - am at the point tonight where it would be less painful to chop my foot off. I'm sure you can appriecite the numbness, calf pain, etc etc

I have contacted my doctor who has agreed to refer me back to the relevant hospital dept, but we are talking UK - NHS - it could take months !

Please can anyone advise how they have dealt with the pain, methods of treatment i.e. HEat / Ice / MAssage / Rest. Anti inflamatories + other over the counter pain killers do not touch it.

Thank you for anyone who can help - I am in tears as I write this

I wish I could help but I am in the same boat as you. I am sitting here now and can't sleep because of the pain. I had 1 cortosone shot and it helped for about 30 min. I have now started the 7 shot regiment, where you have to go back for another shot every 11 days. The first shot was last Wed. the 21st. It helped for 1 wonderful day, but now back with a vegeance. If you hear of any thing please let me know. Edi in VA
