Pain Worse After Jabs HelpHi, i had a general anaesthetic on Saturday morning so that my surgeon could give me 2 cortisone jabs, one each on tops of foot and one directly in my MN, well i have had this procedure before (although not in the MN) and i know its not instant relief but since the jab in the MN the pain has gradually become worse. There is no sign of infection and the foot looks the same as ever but walking is far more painfull now than before i had the jab. I would welcome any advice on this, will it likely improve? Should i seek medical advice before my follow up appiontment? Im a little depressed which i know doesnt help but i was so longing for the date of my jabs to feel some relief and now its worse. So sorry to moan and whinge, don't know what to do. I have Fibromyalgia and Arthritis so pain is not new to me.
Thanks All for listening Louise
Re: Pain Worse After Jabs HelpHi, its now 6 days since i had the jabs (3 in total 1 in the MN) and it has gradually improved with each day. I think it caught me by surprise because i have had jabs in the tops of my feet before under a general anaesthetic and although they were quite tender for a few days after i didnt get this awful pain! My 2nd & 3rd toes (after big toe) have raised up quite a way exposing more of the foot bed when i walk and its hellish. However, as i said before it has eased somewhat now. My surgeon said we will look at having some ops on both feet icncluding the MN in a few months and decide if its worth it? I have read peoples posts where they say the damn thing just came back again only worse so i really dont know what to do? He says that as deformities go my toes havent deformed that badly at the moment; i dont want it getting worse though. What are your views on it?
Thanks for your reply
