Recovery

Post a new topicby Unhappy Golfer on Thu Apr 16, 2009 2:49 pm

Hi everybody,fellow neuroma sufferers.
Are there any keen sportspeople out there? Ive just been diagnosed with the little monster in my foot.Been giving me a right old hard time for a few months now.The Golf in particular has taken the brunt of the action, the transferance of wieght onto the effected foot is destroying my game, its got to the point where I'll have to have the op sooner rather than later but what I want to know is ,What sort of recovery time are we talking about ? Not being able to have a round of golf is doing my head in.

Sorry I Know some of you will have moe important issues, but some things are more important than others

Sorry to hear you are an unhappy golfer.

Basically, recovery time seems to vary from a few weeks to 6 - 12 months. There is quite a lot on it in the few posts immediately prior to yours so check them out, even if the headings don't look so relevant.

Hey there unhappy golfer - look at the recent post, from mvalteau (18 yr old with MN) for some - mostly - positive tales of surgery.

Thats more like it! 3 weeks and I could be back on the course, something to aim for when I come out of the Hospital.
The thing thats worrying me is the rumours that have been going round the clubhouse and the snied remarks about me not tripping up on my heals and some of the guys have started calling me darling and winking at me!!!! All in good fun of course, well thats what I thought till I found a phone number in my locker with a note about a local transvestites society.
Well at least someone was concerned enough to look up my condition and saw it was related mostly to the girls.
Seeing the foot surgeon next week for the final countdown, heres hoping
