Surgery: Part 2

Post a new topicby jcroam on Sun Aug 16, 2009 11:59 pm

Has anyone had a positive experience with their second MN surgery? I went through the whole cycle about 7-8 years ago; cortisone shot, orthotics and ended up having it removed. The surgery and recovery went well and everything was great until about 9-10 months ago. The pain returned--although not as sharp of a pain, more of a dull non-stop throbbing--but still, painful. I had another cortisone shot that didn't help and now I'm looking at another surgery. I've heard the recovery is more difficult, but I'd like some information that was a little less vague.

Thanks!

I am 8 weeks post op from my second surgery and doing much better now. The second surgery involved going in through the bottom of my foot. I was laid up a little longer, 3 weeks in a cast and then 3 weeks in a walking cast but slowly but surely I am doing much better. I still have a few muscle spasms once in awhile but I can finally walk longer periods of time with no pain. Good luck and positive thoughts.
